Privacy and Access Code
Protecting your privacy is fundamental to OpenNet VPN. We operate under a strict no‑logs policy: we never record your browsing history, DNS queries, timestamps or connection metadata. Our servers run in privacy‑friendly jurisdictions and are configured to retain only what is necessary for basic operation. Because we don’t know what you do online, there’s nothing to hand over if anyone asks.
Access codes instead of usernames & passwords
Instead of a typical username and password, OpenNet uses a randomly generated access code. When you create an account at https://opennetvpn.com, the system produces a unique code for you. This code is your single credential: paste it or scan its QR representation in whichever client app you use.
We collect minimal information—often just an email address for login and reminders—and we never store payment details alongside your browsing data.
Treat the access code like a password: keep it private. Anyone who knows the code can use your subscription.
If you misplace the code, there is no way to recover it. You will need to generate a new account.
Device limits
You can use your access code on up to five devices simultaneously, allowing you to protect your phone, laptop and other devices with one subscription.
Payments & anonymity
To preserve anonymity during payment, we accept privacy‑friendly methods such as cryptocurrency (Solana). Paying with crypto avoids linking personal billing information to your VPN account.
Once a payment is confirmed, your access code’s validity is extended for the chosen duration. Subscriptions do not auto‑renew; when your term expires, your access stops unless you manually top up.
Transparency and legal requests
We commit to transparency. Each year we publish a report summarising any legal requests we’ve received and how we responded.
