FAQ
What is an access code?
An access code is your key to OpenNet VPN. Instead of a username and password, the service issues a unique code when you sign up. Enter this code into the VPN client to authenticate. You can get your code by creating an account on opennetvpn.com. New users receive a three‑day free trial code; paid codes last for the duration of your subscription.
How many devices can I use?
Each access code allows up to five simultaneous connections. You can use the same code across your phone, laptop, tablet and other devices. If you exceed five connections, additional devices will be refused until one disconnects. There is no need to purchase separate plans for each device; one subscription covers your personal devices.
Which platforms are supported?
OpenNet VPN supports Windows, macOS, Linux, Android and iOS via third‑party clients. The Outline app handles Shadowsocks connections on all platforms except Linux, while V2Ray‑based clients handle VMess, VLESS and Trojan. See the setup guides in this documentation for detailed instructions on each operating system.
Which protocol should I choose?
For simplicity and speed, start with the Shadowsocks/Outline configuration. If your network blocks the connection or you need stronger obfuscation, switch to a VMess, VLESS or Trojan profile using a compatible client (e.g., v2rayNG, Shadowrocket or Qv2ray). All protocols offer strong encryption; the main difference is how they evade detection and what transports they use.
How do I pay and renew?
Subscriptions are prepaid. We primarily accept Solana (SOL) cryptocurrency to minimise personal data collection. Subscriptions do not auto‑renew by default. You will receive reminders to renew before your code expires. If you prefer another payment method, contact support to discuss alternatives.
Do you log my activity?
No. We do not log your browsing, IP addresses or connection timestamps. Because we don’t collect this data, we cannot provide it even if requested by third parties. See the Privacy & Access Code page for full details on our no‑logs policy.
What if I cannot connect?
Try switching to another protocol or server. Different networks block different methods. Ensure your access code is active and entered correctly. If problems persist, contact support for help. Our free trial lets you test the service risk‑free before committing to a subscription.
